Our desire is to provide dental care to your entire family. We take time to listen to our patients so they can make informed choices regarding their own treatment.
Preventative care
Cleanings
Hygiene services range from traditional “cleanings” to the treatment of periodontal disease. A diagnosis is necessary to determine the type of cleaning an individual may need. Most insurance companies will provide for dental prophylaxis (traditional cleaning) twice a year. Many will pay towards the more advanced cleanings necessary for patients with periodontal disease.
Dental sealants
Dental sealants are a preventative measure. Placed on newly erupted adult teeth, sealants attempt to prevent damage from cavities starting on the chewing surfaces of the teeth.
Diet and nutrition counseling
The foods and drinks we consume dramatically affect the health of our mouth. We like to educate our patients both for themselves and their children on how to keep their diets from negatively impacting their teeth and gums.
Snore guards
Many adults find themselves suffering from poor sleep. If the diagnosis has been made linking a sleep apnea to the position of the jaw and tongue, we can provide the patient with a custom mouth appliance. The appliance can alleviate this problem for some people. The appliance can be worn alone or with a CPAP device.
Mouth guards
Mouth guards are used to protect teeth from traumatic damage. That damage may occur through participation in sporting events, or through clenching and teeth grinding habits that may occur at night or during the day.
Restorative and cosmetic services
Our smile tells the world something about us. If damage has occurred over our lifetime to affect our smile, this may affect both how we feel about ourselves and how others perceive us. Dentistry has risen to a level that allows us to restore broken smiles in many ways, giving our patients the ability to choose the most appropriate options.
Fillings
Restorations on broken, damaged or decayed teeth are done with metal free or cosmetic porcelain options whenever possible.
Crowns
A crown, sometimes referred to as a cap, is generally performed to rebuild a heavily damaged tooth. Some of these teeth may have had root canal procedures. Crowns can be fabricated from different materials. Dr. Lehman will discuss with you options for a crown that may include all porcelain cosmetic choices.
Bridges
Bridges replace missing teeth. They can be placed using either natural teeth or implants as support.
Dentures and partial dentures
Dentures and partial denture impressions are performed in our office. Advancements in partial denture design allow us to use nearly invisible clasps where it may affect the smile.
Root canals
Endodontic procedures (root canals) are often completed in our office. However, if the tooth requiring root canal therapy is complex it may be referred out to a specialist.
Extractions
The majority of extractions required by our patients are completed in our office. Those requiring additional surgery may be referred to a specialist.
Dental implant restoration
Implant dentistry has allowed us to restore multiple or single teeth. They can also be used to stabilize and retain a full denture. Although implant dentistry often comes with a high price tag, for some it provides a life-changing rehabilitation.
Porcelain veneers and dental bonding
For those of our patients who want a “Hollywood” smile or only enhancement, we offer dental veneers. Veneers allow us to change the shape and shade of the teeth. Utilizing different dental materials, we have the potential to dramatically alter your smile.
Whitening
Whitening (dental bleaching) can be performed with a one-stop visit at our office, or in the comfort of your own home. Both systems provide a brightening addition to your oral care.
